Fiat Siena production to start in Iran by yearend

LONDON, October 27 (IranMania) - Production of Fiat Siena, is going to kick off in Iran in March 2006, acording to an MNA report.

The production capacity for this B-class car is to reach 200,000 in two phases.

Fiat and Bonyan Tose Sanat Pars Company, Fiat?s partner in the country, signed a contract in January 2005 to manufacture Siena with a host of other models such as Palio hatchback, Adventure station wagon and Strada van.

Moreover, other dual -fuel models, using gasoline and CNG (compressed natural gas), Doblo and Multipla, will be introduced into domestic market.

The total volume of investment is anticipated to reach 200 million euros and the price range for different models is expected to be 90 to 170 mln rials.
